Teaching Silkscreen Techniques at TechShop in San Jose

Tech Shop in San Jose, 2011: I have been teaching silkscreen techniques at TechShop in San Jose since Aug. 2011. Below are images of my students while working, printing and their hand printed finished T. Shirts. I really enjoy teaching silkscreen techniques at the TechShop; it is a cool, spacious place with good friendly crew to work with and wonderful students to teach.

One of the students on Wed. Nov. 30th printed a fun T.shirt combining Tech shop Logo with his chosen design

Art Events and Museum Visits

I sometimes take my private students to museums to visit a specific show. Below are images from San Jose Museum of Art where we visited Chuck Close Exhibition.

It is also fun to hold group art events. Here are the images from an art event with many great, talented kids, working on a long drawing paper with tempera paints:

Students' Art Shows

Below are images from my Students' art shows in Gallery Space at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) in Mountain View, in 2009. CSMA Program Coordinator, Kyle Williams, and I selected almost 200 artworks from 5 classes. The show exhibited Students K-5 grades. Artworks included ceramics masks, self portraits and horses acrylic charcoal drawings, positive-negative space wood paintings, mixed-media ship paintings, quilt collage works and many more. CSMA hold a reception for students and parent on a Thurs. evening, which was packed with proud parents and students.

Below are some images from another students' show that I curated and installed the works, in Christian Assembly Center in Milpitas. My students age 5-10 showed artworks that were a mix of paper-mache, drawings, collage and mixed-media. Art Program Director at the Center arranged a nice reception for kids and their parents and we made a poster for it to announce our show.
